And all the Razzies go to…

1

jack-and-jill-posterJack and Jill has taken home the large haul of this years Golden Raspberry Awards (The Razzies) in what some may term a malicious act, others call it just desserts. Altogether I’m not too surprised, the film was a constant sensory assault that begged to be put out of it’s misery but now lingers in eternal infamy as one of the worst movies ever to see the light of day. Adam Sandler was equally lambasted for his double role in the film – previously Sandler had only received one Razzie for his part in Big Daddy, but his recent accumulation of 6 trophies definitely puts him up there with the worst of them. I found Al Pacino to be the only tolerable part of the film but nevertheless he deserves the award for sinking this low.

In the 32 history of The Golden Raspberry Awards, Jack and Jill is the first film to claim every title – it’s the biggest winner (which also makes it the biggest loser on that count)

Really can’t disagree here except that Bucky Larson is every bit as bad as Jack and Jill. And that’s saying something. The nominations are pretty spot on in general but, even though I don’t like the Twilight movies very much, they’re no where near as bad as the other films nominated – especially Big Mommas 3, which deserved way more noms than it actually got.
