To be honest when I heard that Pixar was making a sequel to Monsters Inc. I refused to believe it, the movie just seemed so resolved that it didn’t need to be expanded on. Thankfully it was soon revealed to be a prequel that followed Mike and Sully during their university years in the aptly titled Monsters University. Judging from the trailer, we look to be in for some interesting comedic highjinks from the original cast and hopefully it will rank among their better sequels (let’s try and ignore Cars 2).
Monsters University is set for release 21 June 2013, it is directed by Dan Scanlon and stars the voice cast of Billy Crystal, John Goodman and Steve Buscemi.
